How to avoid getting acne after wearing a mask for too long? (Part 1)

You need to cleanse your skin daily and increase the supply of nutrients to prevent acne.

Do not wear makeup if not needed

Facemasks are a separate material when you are outdoors during an epidemic season. Wearing a mask for a long time will cause sweat, sebum combined with cosmetic makeup residues, dead cells, dirt … to clog pores. This is a favorable condition for acne to develop. So you should limit makeup. If forced to make up, remove makeup thoroughly at the end of the day.

1

Bring a gentle makeup remover bottle

Makeup remover is a quick, non-greasy way to cleanse your skin so you don’t need to wash it with water. You can wipe your face with makeup remover in the middle of the day, or after moving outside for too long with a mask. The makeup remover product that should be in your bag is non-alcohol and fragrance-free.

Use a water-based cleansing product

All day outside with a mask, the skin will have a lot of excess oil and impurities, so it needs to be cleaned in the evening. Absolutely do not go to bed with an unclean face if you do not want acne during the epidemic season. Be close to a gentle, low-lathering face wash that doesn’t contain harsh cleansing ingredients.

2

PH balance for skin after cleansing

The skin’s natural pH is around 4.5-6.2. Some face wash products contain highly alkaline cleansing agents that will increase the pH of the skin, leading to dryness, discomfort. Therefore, you should use toner solution to moisturize, balance the pH, and reduce redness, peeling skin. Note do not use toner containing alcohol, aromas, astringents such as witch hazel extract, peppermint oil … because these are ingredients that can cause irritation.
