Passionate about fashion business, Lingard was warned by Solskjaer

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has asked Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford to focus on football instead of spending more time on fashion passion.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has worked with his assistant Mike Phelan to improve the spirit of the MU players in the past. The Norwegian coach knew that in the dressing room of the team there were back and forth about Jesse Lingard being distracted after the player launched his fashion brand, “Be Yourself”. It is known that this is part of the fashion brand launched by Lingard, JLINGZ with products such as clothing, phone covers or shaving cream.

MU’s coaching staff is concerned that Jesse Lingard is not focusing on training to improve himself and spend too much time on his fashion brand. Even Marcus Rashford was closely watched when the player had been in a tumble in recent matches.

Lingard launched his fashion label last December, a week before the team marched to Anfield. Before United lost to Liverpool 1-3, leading to the dismissal of Jose Mourinho, former midfielder Roy Keane criticized Lingard fiercely because the player was more focused on business than playing.

“If MU has a dressing room with players always focused on the team, Lingard’s actions will not be accepted. This is what I’m concerned about MU’s dressing room. For a young player who is still learning, he needs to stop those useless things”, Roy Keane said.

Former Manchester United player Gary Neville also said: “I have no problem with Lingard about his fashion brand and his clothes. But before Liverpool’s crucial match on the pitch, he should not have launched his fashion brand, not this week. Lingard needs to focus on the game against Liverpool and not focus on other things”.

After taking over the coach seat at MU, Solskjaer tried to spread fire to the players. Earlier, MU’s dressing room was divided under coach Jose Mourinho. The Norwegian coach not only applies martial law with Lingard or Rashford but also with other MU players. Solskjaer believes that his methods will help the pupils improve their performances this season.
